Cant argue with Kevin CostnerHow about Henry Fonda as Jesse James...old school!! And Wild Bill...well he played himself ( rather badly going by reviews!) in 1873 on stage. No one has played Billy the Kid worth the mentioning!! |

easy if we are to base it on the real life charicters .
Wyatt earp kurt russel based on what ive read kurt was true to wyatt
billy the kid val kilmer was good yet this film is under rated with val in it .
jesse james brad pitt suprizingly he played it well
wild bill jeff bridges looked and acted the part perfectly

Yes...Ive got the film...its terribly boring and I dont like Val Kilmer! His portrayal of Doc pales into insignificance compared to Dennis Quaid.

Capt, that surprises me, I too think Kilmer was very good in the part of Billy, then again, threads like this are all about personal preferences. In most of the Earp films the guys that played Doc just about stole the show, with the exceptions of Jason Robarbs and Victor Mature.

The character of Doc must be such fun to play. His personal history is just so fantastic a great writer couldnt write it better! |
