Reply with quote | #16 | Hey Rebel Raider, did you find they made more of a "popping" sound than a bang? The '50 cals were very disappointing when i heard them. |

As I understans it, this system can be fitted to any design of imitation firearm. Obviously the two pipes would need to be hidden inside the body, as would the bottles. Other than that, they seem quite effective.

To paraphrase Mark Twain...,
Suppose that you were this guy Bob, and suppose that you were an idiot, but I repeat myself.

Reply with quote | #25 | id love to have use of a Gatling in western re-enactments and iam sure pending a vote that we can get one next year ,the gas system seems to be the cheapest way and cleanest . unfortunately i haven't met anyone yet with a good understanding of this system and where to buy it from ,i cannot see a problem with fitting it to a deac as yo are not altering the specification . scratch built Gatling fitted with the gas system could be the way to go .

Reply with quote | #26 | As Shane says i did not like the gas guns either they defiantly make moor of a popping sound. The one my mate had on his half track ran on oxygen and propane cylinders run through pipes in to a small electric gismo that fed bursts of it into the breech of the gun and then was ignited by a spark plug run off a car battery.Quite difficult to set up much turning of gas taps etc to get the mix just right, and you need loads of gas he had two very large cylinders like for oxy/acetylene welding stowed in the track.I think if you set a Gatling gun up like it it would not be very portable and i cant see how you would have it firing out of more than one barrel. Wyatt bear in mind any thing you use to convert to this system will have to be absolutely butchered to bits to get the spark plug plus its wiring and the gas valve into the breech and the barrels would not be able to turn because the gas pipes would tangle.I believe the gas valve and electrics for this were imported from the states but have a feeling you can no longer import them.
